Review letter and related words on smartboard.  Then explain "joke".  Share some of my favorites (sometimes with visual aides on the smartboard to help them get it):

• What did zero say to eight?     Nice belt.

  I didn’t mean to make you cry!

  Lettuce

  Lettuce in, it's freezing out here.

• Q: What do you call cheese that’s not yours?

  A: Nacho cheese!

• What do you get when a hen lays an egg on the roof?
  An egg roll!

• Why do cows wear bells?
  Because their horns don't work!

• What did one snowman say to the other?
  Do you smell carrots?

• How do you know it is raining cats and dogs?
  When you step in a poodle!
